For many students the mechanics of speech and overall articulation remain major hurdles. However with a few simple strategies, knowledge of phonology and practice, it can become one of their great strengths. The Sounds of English is a great way to introduce pupils to phonology and the physical properties of sounds (phonetics). All the key techniques for success with speech and clarity are all dealt with in a compact format. This course is highly interactive and comes complete with a plethora of activities and reference material. Note that both Thinking, Listening, Speaking (Oral Exam Workshop) and Words of Wisdom (Public Speaking / Oral Confidence), are both ideal follow-on courses from The Sounds of English.
